Melissa grew up in southern(ish) Illinois. When she was 13, she stole her dad's guitar from under the bed, and she never gave it back. After earning a degree in music education, songwriting became a side project. Melissa, however, continues to devote quality time to her writing and singing. Melissa has recently moved to Atlanta, GA where she continues writing and playing out as much as possible!
